My Goals for 2025
Work On My Physical Health
Ever since COVID-19 started, I haven't been in the best health. My job is mostly a sit-down in-a-desk type of job, and I really appreciate it when the office picks up and I get moving. I never understood the saying that one gains weight with a sit-down job until it happened to me. After everything started, it was hard for me to get into a workout routine again. My mental health wasn't at its best during COVID-19, but it was getting better, and that's when I enrolled for my final 10 classes to get my bachelor's degree. So, I worked full-time and went to school part-time for two years, which meant little time for me. I was always exhausted from work and school. This year, I have nothing but to dedicate to my physical health.
Work On My Mental Health
I took a long time to realize putting people first started affecting my mental health. I am a strong people pleaser, and it took me a long time to differentiate between being a polite and a people pleaser. This year, I am going to take care of my mental health. I am at the point in my life where you start playing mind games or acting like a child with me, and then I am out. I have given many people in my life many chances, from friends to family. I'm not going to lie; I realized I am people's doormats towards the end of last year. This year, I am standing up for myself and not letting them treat me the way they treated me last year. My new goal this year is to surround myself with positive vibes and the people who want me to succeed in my goals in life. It's okay to leave people who no longer serve you or do not make you a better person.
Work On My Relationship With God
I improved my relationship with God during the last two months of 2024. I noticed that the closer I got, the more I felt better as a person. I want to have more daily Bible studies. Girls Gone Bible podcast made me realize I have lost touch with my relationship with God. I want to be the most humble and kind person I can be. Lastly, if I am getting closer to God, I want to learn the Bible more.
Read More Educational/Improvement Books
I have been reading nonstop since I bought myself a Kindle. Of course, I want to continue reading my romance novels this year, but I also want to read books that will benefit me, such as books about investing and creating positive habits. I want to start educating myself even though I am down with school. Knowledge and education is the most powerful thing to have for a woman.
Drink More Water
Drinking water is very important for oneself. I drink water, but not enough. This year, I want to work on it. My new motto is to drink one more cup if I drink enough water.
