Simple Things You Can Do to Change Your Life

Ello! Okay, this pandemic has opened my eyes more about my health and my self-care. It's been nine months since the virus entered my life. This pandemic has affected my mental and physical health. I am one month and a half from taking care of my health. It all started by making simple changes in my life. It took a while before I started to feel/see the difference in my daily life. These are the changes we have to make in our lives. Some people don't always want what's best for us.For some it happens to be friends and family.

--Start Saying No--

I still struggle with this, and it a constant battle for me. My boyfriend and best friend have always said to me saying no is okay.
Speaking from a personal place, I usually put other people's duties before mine. I am learning every day that saying no is not a bad thing.

-- Do a Social Media Cleanse--

Social media can be beneficial and non-beneficial. In this pandemic, I unfriended and unfollowed people on my social media. From personal friends to family members. I got tired of seeing nothing but hate on their timeline. I got fed up with seeing this every day of my life. Also, I  unfollowed some celebs on Instagram. The reason why their post didn't inspire me or bring me joy. Truthfully a Bikini picture brings nothing but likes. I am not bashing people that post content like that. My current vibe isn't into that now, but it was.

-- Physical Health--

Since the pandemic started, I gained 15 lbs. I am a social/nervous eater. Hell, I am an emotional eater, and it doesn't help that I love to eat. If I am speaking honestly, I didn't work out for three months straight. When I started to work out but didn't change my bad eating choices, no change came to my physical health. In November, I started to eat healthier and exercise. I noticed a major change. Our health should be our priority. The reason why is because without good health nothing is possible. Get up and get moving by going on walks to your local park or exercise for 15 minutes at home.

-- Create a Vision Board--

I am a person who loves to plan. A vision helps us to meet the life goals we want. The good thing about the vision board is that it can be made for six months, a year, or even five years from now. Vision boards can be created virtual or DIY(arts and craft style). If you do it virtually, you can set it up as your wallpaper on phones/tablets. You can hang it up in your house in the old fashion way. Remember we have to reach our dreams and goals.

--Invest in Self-Care--

Many people don't take time to take care of themselves. Do at least one thing that makes you happy once a month. Then try to push for once every other week, and then once a week. Make a habit to make time for your self-care. Don't feel guilty for investing in your self-care.

-- Detox and Cleanse from Toxic--

In this pandemic, it revealed to me who the toxic people are in my life. It's hard to cleanse from toxic people if we are friends or related to them. When I cleanse them from my life, it made a huge difference. I don't have to deal with their negative comments, opinions on my lifestyle, or point of view they tried to shove down my throat. Those things start to affect our mental health. It's going to be tough doing the cleanse, but it's going to pay off.

--Drink More Water--

I am the type of person who finds it hard to reach my daily water intake. Many people don't know headaches are a common sign of dehydration or dry skin. Last week I was complaining of headaches then I realized the only liquid intake was sugary drinks. We have to take care of our bodies by watching what we intake.

-- Daily Vitamins/supplements

Many people don't know our bodies lack supplements. If we don't eat correctly or our bodies don't absorb natural supplements. For example, I take fiber once every other day because I didn't use #2 every day. Fiber has become my best friend and helped my digestive system.

--Give Yourself Deadlines--

Who remembers those college days by working/studying all night. I can't do that anymore because I am no longer 20. My body needs rest and sleep. Deadlines can be used for home tasks or work tasks. For example my deadline to do all my laundry before the weekend. Don's stress yourself out and plan.

Anyways thank you for reading this. I hope this blogs helps or encourages you to make lifestyle changes. By the way, Happy New Year.
