Girls, We Run This Motha!

It's March 8th and that means today is International Women's day. I think it's the perfect time to reflect and celebrate the women that brings positivity in my life. We live in a generation where women are breaking the rules and making their own life choices. As Eleanor Roosevelt said "well-behaved women rarely make history". I am going to talk about the women who shared their life wisdom and helped me to be the woman I am today. Also, the women that inspire me.

My mom: Let me start by saying I love her very much. Her actions have shown me that don't let any little obstacle get in the way of your path. My strong mother crossed the broader to the U.S for a better life and she achieved it. She got heart surgery and couldn't do anything for a year. She recovered and got back to work. My mom taught me you have to be your own hero and fight for what you want in life.

My Aunt: I love her so much! She is a second mother to me. Many people say she spreads herself too thin to get the family together. She is always putting together family activities. She is teaching me every day to have a big heart and remember that family is forever.

My Sister: My wonderful and beautiful sister is the best. She has made me learn not to change yourself to make people happy. My sister is always saying "do what makes you happy". I love how she isn't afraid to express herself and be who she truly is.

My Cousin:  Beyoncé  (her nickname for us)! She has taught me and set an example to love yourself and don't settle for anything less. She has the highest confidence and that shines. She has made strong choices that were hard on her life but she did it. That taught me don't let anything bring you down because that can affect you in the long run.

J.K Rowling: We all know that she is the creator of Harry Potter! <3 Before all her success she was someone struggling. I look up to her because she always kept reaching for her dreams and never gave up.

Jesy Nelson: Her documentary Odd One Out touched my heart. Body shaming is the worst thing to experience. She taught me to love my body no matter what anyone says. And not to let the bullies take any space in your head and life.

My Friends: Friends teach us a lot of things. My group of friends keeps me humble. They always knock me down my high horse when I need it, They keep me grounded. I love them as well they pick me up when I am down.

This blog has come to an end. I hope this blog has made you think and appreciate the lucky ladies you have in your life. We need to celebrate women more!
